The dust has now settled on the news of Antoine Winfield Jr.’s new contract which made him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. While it sounds like a hefty price to pay a young safety, it’s anything but as Winfield has become a cornerstone in Todd Bowles’s defense.

We asked Bucs fans to grade the news contract for the former Minnesota Gopher this week. And without surprise, a big portion of Tampa Bay fans are united in their feelings for his new four-year deal worth up to $84.1 million.

Every wonders and concerns themselves with how teams can spend their money wisely on players. For the Bucs, it’s fair to say they once again got another contract extension right.
