After an impressive performance, the Bucs decided to make a move on a veteran receiver

Potentially needing some reinforcements for Thursday’s game, the Bucs decided to make a move and sign wide receiver Sterling Shepard from the practice squad to the active roster. Shepard was signed earlier in the offseason but battled injuries during camp and ended up on the practice squad. Now four weeks in, he is on the active roster.

As the tweet mentions, Shepard was productive in his first action this season and showed that connection with Baker Mayfield once again. The 31 year old receiver figures to be a key part of the Bucs offense on Thursday night.

Jalen McMillan missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury and Trey Palmer left the game with a concussion, so there is a good chance both of those guys are unavailable on a short week. Shepard impressed in his first game this season and we will see if he can continue that success this week.
