The Tampa Bay Bucs have re-signed quarterback Kyle Trask to a one-year deal, securing the former second-round pick as part of their roster for the 2025 season. Trask, who originally joined the Bucs in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida, has served primarily as a backup during his tenure. The move, first reported by Ian Rapoport on Wednesday, ensures depth behind starter Baker Mayfield.

Trask’s re-signing reflects Tampa Bay’s commitment to continuity, despite his limited game action. In four seasons, he has appeared in just three games, completing 10 of 18 passes for 113 yards. However, his strong arm and familiarity with the system make him a valuable asset in case the unimaginable were to happen to QB1.
