The praise continues to roll in for Baker Mayfield following his historic performance against the Green Bay Packers

Baker Mayfield has had his detractors and doubters this season, but this week everyone seems to be aboard the Mayfield Express. In addition to being named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Mayfield was announced as the FedEx Air Player of the Week.

Mayfield finished Sunday’s game against the Packers 22-for-28 for 381 yards and four touchdowns – and a perfect 158.3 passer rating making him the only visiting quarterback to ever accomplish that feat inside Lambeau.

Not only that, but Mayfield joined Aaron Rodgers as one of only two quarterbacks to ever accomplish that feat at all.

Mayfield was also one of only three quarterbacks in NFL history to have 375+ yards, 4+ touchdowns, and a perfect passer rating in a road game, joining Nick Foles and Ken O’Brien.

Now the question is whether or not Mayfield can keep the ride going this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense that’s allowing over 250 passing yards and over 22 points per game. The Bucs are now on a three game win streak while the Jags are on a three game losing streak. The Bucs no longer face a “must win” but winning this game will once again help their postseason cause.

However, you have to hope that the Bucs don’t ease off the gas or get complacent with the way things have been, knowing that a loss won’t go far in hurting their postseason chances.

The Bucs and Jaguars will face off in Raymond James Stadium at 4:05 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS with Kevin Harland, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins on the call.
