The veteran center announced his retirement earlier this year.

The Tampa Bay Bucs today placed center Ryan Jensen on the Reserve/Retired list following his announcement on Feb. 2 of his intentions to retire from the National Football League.

Jensen (6-4, 319) joined the Bucs as a free agent in 2018. He started 65 regular season games for the Bucs between 2018-21, while also starting all seven of Tampa Bay’s playoff games from 2020-22, including Super Bowl LV. He received Pro Bowl honors in 2021.

Jensen anchored an offensive line that helped produce the club’s four highest-scoring seasons (2018-21) in franchise history. During his time with the Bucs, Tampa Bay led the NFL in passing yards per game (305.0), while ranking second in the NFL in points scored per game (28.6), total yards per game (400.9), yards per play (6.1), first downs per game (23.2), and third-down conversion rate (44.5%). During his time with Tampa Bay, the Bucs yielded a sack on just 5.1% of pass attempts – good for the fifth-lowest mark in the NFL over that span.

He originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick (No. 203 overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Colorado State-Pueblo. He spent his first five years in the NFL with Baltimore before signing with the Bucs. He finished his career with 100 career regular season games played, including 90 starts. His 5,307 offensive snaps from 2017-21 were the most by any NFL player during that span.
