Tampa Bay moves on from the 2022 fourth round pick
The Bucs have made a move regarding the punter position and it is one that has been a long time coming.
The team announced today that they have waived punter Jake Camarda in a move that was not very surprising considering they have benched him multiple times this season.

After being the team’s punter for the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Camarda faced a lot of inconsistencies throughout the preseason and the regular season. He was a healthy scratch a few times this season in favor of Trenton Gill including this past week’s game against Baltimore.
After being a fourth round pick of the team in 2022, Camarda flashed potential in his rookie season, but could never find that groove again.
It remains to be seen whether the Bucs will keep Trenton Gill in the fold the entire season or begin to look elsewhere for a solution at punter but Tampa Bay is admitting their mistake in drafting Camarda and hopefully will find an upgrade sooner rather than later.
