Lines are set for next week’s matchup.

Fresh off of their 37-20 win over Washington, oddsmakers have set the opening lines for the Bucs Week 2 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

According to Fanduel, Tampa Bay is a 6.5-point underdogs in Detroit.

Point spread: Bucs +6.5
Point total: 48.5
Moneyline: Bucs -105, Lions +115

The Lions won a thriller at home on Sunday night over the Los Angeles Rams. The Bucs, behind the arm of quarterback Baker Mayfield, won in dominating fashion. Perhaps oddsmakers see something in this game being that as Tampa Bay played a Washington team in the process of rebuilding their true test comes this week.

Still, there was a lot from Tampa Bay not to like. The Bucs haven’t had that much explosiveness and excitement with consistency on offense in quite some time. The Lions on the other hand, looked dominant in the first half of the Sunday night win before fizzling out in the second half allowing the Rams to catch up.
