Bucs ran away with several historical marks.

– The Bucs defeated the Saints, 51-27, to improve to 4-2 on the season. The 51 points scored marks Tampa Bay’s second-most points scored in a single game in franchise history, trailing only Week 4 of the 2019 season against the Los Angeles Rams (55). The 51 points allowed marks the most the Saints have given up in a game since Week 14 of the 2012 season when they yielded 52 points to the New York Giants. Sunday’s win represents the second-most lopsided victory by the Bucs over New Orleans in franchise history, trailing only the 48-21 (+27) win over the Saints in Week 15 of the 2001 season. Today’s contest was just the second time that a visiting team has ever scored 50+ points in the Superdome, joining the Indianapolis Colts in 2003 (55).

– Tampa Bay improved to 4-1 in their last five games against the Saints, and to 3-0 in their last three games in New Orleans.

– Tampa Bay has scored 30+ points in four of their six games this season, marking the first time in club history that the team has accomplished that feat, per ESPN research.

It marked Tampa Bay’s third-largest rushing output in a single game in franchise history, and the largest since logging a franchise-record 283 rushing yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11 of the 2015 season. The 7.9 yards per carry is the second-highest mark in a game with 30+ rushing attempts in franchise history, trailing only an 8.7 average across 32 carries in Week 9 of the 2012 season against the Oakland Raiders.

– Sunday’s victory marked the second time in franchise history that the Bucs have recorded 300+ net yards of passing offense and 200+ net yards of rushing offense in the same game, joining Week 10 of the 2020 season against the Carolina Panthers.

– WR Chris Godwin finished with 11 receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns. It’s the eighth time in franchise history that a player has recorded 10+ receptions, 100+ receiving yards, and two-or-more touchdown receptions in a single game, and the first since Mike Evans did so in Week 18 of the 2022 season against the Carolina Panthers. Today’s performance represents Godwin’s second-such game, joining Week 4 of the 2019 season against the Los Angeles Rams.
