The Bucs will be without both Lavonte David and Devin White in a must win divisional matchup

Nothing like heading into a must win game without two of your captains and multiple starters. That’s exactly what the Tampa Bay Bucs are facing when they take on the Carolina Panthers today.

Lavonte David will miss his second straight game and his partner in crime Devin White will also be out for this week. On top of that, the Bucs are also without cornerback Jamel Dean for the second straight game.

SirVocea Dennis, who filled in for Lavonte David last week, came into today doubtful with an illness and he will not suit up, leaving K.J. Britt and J.J. Russell as your starting inside linebackers.

Another game time decision was wide receiver Chris Godwin who has been dealing with a neck injury. The Bucs elevated wide receivers Ryan Miller and David Moore from the practice squad for this game just in case. Luckily for the Bucs, Chris Godwin will suit up and play today.

For the Panthers, they activated cornerback Jaycee Horn, safety Jeremy Chinn, and edge rusher Yetur Gross-Matos from injured reserve and all three will be playing for Carolina. However, they will be without their top two tight ends Hunter Henry and Tommy Tremble for this game as both have been ruled out as well as safety Vonn Bell.

Here are the inactive players for the Bucccaneers and the Panthers ahead of their first matchup of 2023;

The Bucs and Panthers kickoff in Raymond James Stadium on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS with Tom McCarthy, James Lofton, and Jay Feely on the call.
